I was booked for an Initial In‑Home Consultation to discuss ideas for a functional and beautiful kitchen. With newfound confidence, they approached a kitchen design company — but none of the four plans drawn met their expectations.

They called me back to refine the layout, mainly to move the sink from the island. I listened carefully to their wishes and made the necessary adjustments.

Initially, they were surprised by my revised plan, as I had to move other elements to improve the flow. After a few weeks of consideration, they chose my layout “because it worked.”

The couple then purchased a block of 10 consulting hours, which included:

• Shopping trips for hardware, lighting, appliances, and furniture

• Liaising with the builder and timber floor specialists

• Addressing issues via emails and messages to keep the project on track
