Daunted by the renovation process, it took many years for this couple to get to the point of creating the kitchen of their dreams. They had no idea about how and where to start, let alone the style or look they wanted. But they knew what they were living in for so many years had to change.

 

I was booked for an hours consultation to discuss ideas about creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen.  With their new found confidence they took their ideas to a kitchen design company and planning began.

 

There were four plans drawn, but none were exactly to their liking, so I received a call to ask if I could jiggle the layout about. Their main concern was to move the location of the sink from the island. So, that's what I did. Listened to my clients wishes and moved the sink.

 

There was an initial shock reaction when they received their edited plan, as I also had to move other items around - to make it flow. A few weeks passed and I contacted my clients to see how the build was going and curious about which layout they chose. She told me they chose my layout "Because it worked.'

 

They then bought a block of 10 hours consulting time., which included shopping trips to hardware, lighting, appliance and furniture stores. I liaised with the builder and timber floor specialists, along with emails and messages of issues needing clarity.
