♻️ Renasci™: Sustainability Reimagined


Every year, over 90,000 tonnes of carpet waste end up in landfill across Australia and New Zealand. Traditional recycling methods struggle with multi-layer adhesives, making carpet recovery complex. Renasci™ flips the script — instead of separating components, Milliken sustainable flooring solutions repurposes the entire material.


  • Made from 80% recycled carpet and 20% soft plastics (like supermarket bags).

  • No adhesives — pressed and bonded mechanically.

  • Fully recyclable in a closed-loop system, including installation off-cuts.

  • Durable enough for commercial interiors, yet stylish for high-traffic residential zones.

This innovation was born from a collaboration sparked at the Green Design Hub at Decor + Design 2023, where saveBOARD’s wall products caught Milliken’s eye. With support from Circular Design Thinking, they embarked on a two-year R&D journey to create Renasci™ — a flooring solution that’s as responsible as it is resilient.


My Project Highlight: Promontory Apartment Complex


For the refurbishment of the common areas at Promontory, I selected carpet tiles from Milliken’s Cement Range — a collection that balances industrial texture with refined elegance. The modular format allowed me to define zones and soften transitions, while the tonal palette complemented the building’s architectural lines.
