My Visit to the Xavier Furniture Showroom
Yesterday I had the chance to visit the exclusive, trade‑only Xavier Furniture showroom, and it was one of those rare moments where craftsmanship truly shows. The quality, the detailing, the materials — it’s all immediately evident.
Their pieces feel considered, beautifully made, and built to last. I honestly found it hard not to touch; I kept running my hand over the smooth finishes and fabrics because everything looked and felt so beautifully made. It’s a very tactile range — the kind of furniture you instinctively want to interact with.
Xavier is an Australian, family‑owned business that has been manufacturing furniture for over 20 years, using sustainable materials and traditional craftsmanship techniques. They supply exclusively to the interior design industry, and the showroom is by appointment only, which keeps the experience calm, curated and genuinely enjoyable.
The photos included in this post are from my visit, so you can get a feel for the pieces in a real setting.
Why One Statement Piece Can Change Everything
You may not furnish an entire home with Xavier — and that’s completely fine. But choosing one or two statement pieces can completely shift the feel of a room. A bookcase, an armchair, bedside tables — even a single hero piece can elevate a space from “Oh, this is lovely” to “Oh WOW, I love this.”
That’s the magic of their range:
It works with so many styles — contemporary, coastal, retro, even industrial
The silhouettes are timeless
The finishes feel refined without being showy
And the overall aesthetic has this subtle Bahamian resort energy — relaxed, elegant, warm and quietly luxurious
And honestly… who doesn’t want a bit of that at home.
Stock on Hand + Custom Options
Most of their pieces are stocked in their warehouse, which means delivery times are often shorter than expected. And for the items that are custom made — like lounges and chairs — the turnaround is usually around 4–6 weeks, which is very reasonable for handcrafted furniture.
Fabric Freedom (Finally!)
Here’s the part I think most people will love - you’re not limited to a tiny selection of fabrics like you are in major retailers. As long as it’s an upholstery‑grade fabric, you can choose almost anything.
Something that suits your space, your lifestyle, and your overall look — whatever word you prefer for “style” that feels more like you. You’re not boxed into trends or whatever happens to be “in season.” You get something that genuinely fits your home.
And with the huge array of fabrics available, I can help source samples from any of my fabric wholesalers.

It’s absolutely worth seeing these pieces in person.
